
Dr. Lourdes Jansuy Cruz is a Filipina scientist and a member of the Order of National Scientists in the Philippines. Known for her research on the venom of fish-hunting Conus marine snails, she reached national and international acclaim after her and her team’s research contributed to discoveries in the field of neuroscience. She is also the founder of the Rural Livelihood Incubator. This organization aims to help reduce poverty among the people living in Bataan by assisting women in attaining jobs to support their families.

This goal is all about conserving oceans and other marine resources that serves as a source to sustain our needs. Sadly, ocean acidification have became prevalent throughout the years and careless ocean management.
Now is the time to act on the issue. One way is to make sure that our consumer choices are sustainable. This is to avoid contributing in marine pollution, and degradation.
